State-of-the-art slam stopper "SR8"

We would like to introduce our new product SR8 to you.

SR8 gives you a stop-function for several applications.
For now we would like to explain you the function with sliding door as example.
When door is closed quickly, thanks to SR8 it will prevent from accidental pinching your fingers.

・Stop-function works in case of more than 0.5m/s velocity
・Nothing influence concerning about temperature dependence
・Custom available based on your desired:
   ➢velocity condition: e.g. 0.6m/s, 0.7m/s etc.
   ➢stop position: You can set up and adjust it at any position.

State-of-the-art "SRX"

Now we are going to present state-of-the-art SRX.



SRX is a state-of-the-art unit system for simple attach/detach purpose, and provides secure fastening solutions with one hand and one push.

The allowable load: 3 - 10 N (It would be different depending on load direction)
Durability: 50,000 cycles (1 cycle = 1 attach and 1 detach)
Operation temperature range: -10 - 50 degrees

How to utilize TOK?

Regarding TOK product ratio, custom products account for more than 70% of all products.
And TOK has an abundance of experiences for various markets, for example sanitary, home appliance, furniture, industry, automotive, duplicating machine etc.
For now we would like to introduce to you about “How to utilize TOK?”
with a past inquiry as example.

INQUIRY VIA WEBSITE (CUSTOMER)

-       The customer is a manufacturer related to screen doors like preventing from bugs
-       Desired to improve the motion when the screen door opens
-       The screen door has a spring roller inside that is turned to create tension to rewind to open position
-       To prevent from slamming they have already been using governor device which a competitor provided

PROBLEM
Current motion: When screen door rewinds to open position by spring force, the screen door sometimes stops on the way unintentionally.

CUSTOMER REQUIREMENT
They desired to have new function for preventing from the above problem,
and therefore they asked TOK if it was possible to create new product which is adaptable to acceleration speed of the screen door.

TOK DESIGNING
At first we had already an idea to create such a motion because we had an experience of developing for other application in the past.
Instead of the competitor product(governor device), TOK came up with a better solution: that is speed reducer using 2 types of spring inside.
